$Readers and
$Authors fields can be also cracked
Aren't you satisfied with the field-by-field reading presented in the Article 002?
If you have a designer licence, there are also other ways to crack. Is not the programmers guilty, in all Lotus documentation, including r4.6 and also in CLP exams saying that Readers fields works... but only if it is the Readers type of field.
As in the Notes R3 you didn't have such a field type and old databases keep the R3 design, now is not enogh to have a $Readers field.
In this case, you first need an "All Documents" view. Make a private new one. There are a lot of documents waiting to be read and there are available only in hidden views.
Second, create a new form. In the database on the server you maybe cannot, so you wish to make a local replica. Be sure not to check "Copy the ACL" and you will be manager in the local copy of the database. This didn't help if the database enforce consistent ACL in all local replicas. If it didn't, you may edit existent forms. Just delete the "Readers" field and you will normally read all documents. More, edit the form and "unhide" the sections and fields.
If you only can create a new form, create also a new view and use the form formula to acces your unhidden form, not the original one.
